Practice Area: Valerie concentrates her practice in the area of civil litigation and insurance defense. She is admitted to practice in Wisconsin and Illinois.

Biography: While attending law school, Valerie served an externship with the Illinois Office of the State Appellate Defender, where she drafted criminal appeals. She was a research assistant for the Loyola University ChildLaw Center, focusing on national lead poisoning prevention efforts. Valerie is a contributing author of "Loyola Hosts Forum Exploring Lead Poisoning," printed in the Loyola University Chicago School of Public Interest Law Reporter, Vol. 7, No. 1, Spring 2002. She also edited the citations for "Out with the Open-Transaction Doctrine: A New Theory for Taxing Contingent Payment Sales," printed in the North Carolina Law Review, March 2003.
